Campus vets like services, but questions surround source of #1 “Military Friendly®” ranking by Susan Matis http://www.mcccvoice.org/victory-media/#comment-1015 Mon, 01 May 2017 21:44:44 +0000 http://www.mcccvoice.org/?p=5768#comment-1015 Victory Media is a service-disabled, veteran-owned small business that has made life better for veterans for 15+ years. We are not a ‘lead generator’ or ‘pay-to-play’ system, nor are we interested in calling a school’s tax filing status ‘good’ or ‘bad.’ Determining which schools meet our yearly Military Friendly® standard is an extremely complex and quantitative process, derived from multiple data sources, comprehensive criteria and weightings that lead to positive outcomes for veterans. It’s disappointing that no one from the Voice contacted us for this story, so I encourage students and staff to visit http://www.militaryfriendly.com to learn about the Military Friendly® award that MCCC’s Veteran Services earned and about our program.

Truly an amazing and meaningful education that was immediately applicable and relevant. And my education at the University of Phoenix was better than any education at public state universities I’ve attended. Miss you, University of Phoenix

Comment on New bill would tighten pedestrian responsibilities by Zed Fechten http://www.mcccvoice.org/new-bill-would-tighten-pedestrian-responsibilities/#comment-1011 Mon, 03 Apr 2017 19:49:52 +0000 http://www.mcccvoice.org/?p=5472#comment-1011 Chris Brown is blaming the victim.

Almost all drivers speed, yet they aren’t held accountable. Even at 30 mph, a car has 50 times more kinetic energy than a rifle bullet. The person imposing the risk must be held responsible, not the person receiving it.

I’m sure that the Product Manager will take note before the next iteration. That’s why smart companies interview users like yourself.

If you’re interested in alternatives – or the school is, check out http://www.dublabs.com – we integrate with Ellucian and Blackboard so you can see grades, assignments, discussions, financial stuff, etc. all in one place. Plus the app sends you alerts for various things like new grades, course announcements, new assignments, etc. so you don’t have to go looking. – Meg

Comment on Prof. Jamal Eric Watson resigns following probe into his credentials and criminal record by Holliday Vann http://www.mcccvoice.org/watson3/#comment-86 Sun, 11 Jan 2015 18:51:58 +0000 http://www.mcccvoice.org/?p=1299#comment-86 Looks like things are looking up for the award-winning author, Dr. Jamal E. Watson, who is due to participate at Ohio State’s Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration this year, Wednesday, January 14. (Source Blackbiter.com.) I will never understand individuals like him, even when they show promise and attempt to do the right thing, they can’t seem to break old . . . ghetto-minded . . . money-grubbing . . . thug activities. It’s boldly stupid or stupidly bold to think students in five different places wouldn’t notice your absence and complain when they are paying too high a cost these days to be educated. It’s sad that Watson thought he would be able to get away with it. It’s also demented.

There are some, within the Democratic Senate, and the Obama administration as well. Let us keep in mind it was the Obama led administration that ignored Russia when Russia told us not to let those terrorists in our country! Just pointing it out to be fair.

Comment on Metal band This or the Apocalypse roars through Champs in Trenton by Pittsburgh Musis Scene http://www.mcccvoice.org/apocalypse/#comment-80 Fri, 08 Nov 2013 23:58:49 +0000 http://www.mcccvoice.org/?p=4422#comment-80 Great article, however you got the name of the base player wrong. For this tour, the talented musician Cody Canavaugh from PIttsburgh is playing base for TOTA. Cody is pictured in the article, but you inadvertently listed TOTA’s previous bass player’s name who is on a leave of absence. Could you possibly make the correction so that Cody can get the deserved credit please? Thank you.
